Project Manager
Details
LOCATION: Addison, TX

Primary Responsibilities
DDM Construction is looking for a highly motivated Project Manager to join our team. The Project Manager oversees all procurement, budget, management of job cost, project schedule, and resources on their assigned project(s).
Responsibilities
- Ensures timely completion of buyout and contract process through timely review of subcontracts, verification of scope of work, tracking of buyout process, and ensure execution of all material contracts and subcontracts for assigned projects.
- Oversees all change orders with owners and vendors.
- Assures RFI’s are issued in a timely manner; issued within 24 hours of the identification of an issue.
- Oversees and manages the project budget and job cost.
- Schedules and coordinates with subcontractors.
- Responsible for the preparation and submission of pay requisitions to the owner.
- Reviews and approve invoices in accounting software, verifies invoices have been coded appropriately, tied to purchase orders, routed with delivery tickets and acceptable for approval.
- Attend owner meetings.
- Coordinate all testing labs for Subcontractor’s on the project. Ensure all trade superintendents are coordinating the testing lab for their respective work.
- Monitoring material deliveries, tracking and release of long lead items and assuring compliance with approved submittals to meet the schedule.
- Review and approves all subcontractor payment applications.
- Generates project baseline schedule.
- Update weekly and monthly schedules.
- Coordinates with Superintendent for near-term schedules and potential claims.
- Assures all logs are reviewed with teams to assure long lead material deliveries are being tracked and released, assuring compliance with the project schedule.
- Conduct weekly meeting with Project Teams.
- Oversee and Coordinate all project start-up and close-out items.
Qualifications & Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management.
- 10+ years of Heavy Civil Construction Experience
- 5+ years in Project Management
- Ability to understand and analyze all aspects of the project, including project schedules, production, plans, specifications, and budget.
- Advanced abilities in Microsoft Project and Excel.
- Ability to use HCSS HeavyBid & HeavyJob Software Preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, strong leader, organizer, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Project Superintendent

Primary Responsibilities

- Schedule and direct day to today on-site supervision of field labor forces on assigned project(s).
- Review submittals, material/sub contracts. Learn the inclusions/exclusions of the contract and setup pre-activity meetings.
- Inspection of Contractor or Subcontractor operations to ensure compliance with contract.
- Keep up with quantities, review and approve Subcontractor Payment Applications with Project Manager.
- Maintain good relationships with internal and external clients, including representatives of Owner, Engineer, and Inspectors.
- Develop and maintain site(s) logistics plan, in coordination with Project Manager.
- Identify potential problems on the project(s) in advance to work starting so to not hinder production or schedule. Work with Project Manager to develop RFI or change orders.
- Conduct quality inspections.
- Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts.
- Monitor costs, including labor time and material
- Communicate and enforce Safety and Health Management.
- Set up any special needs such as safety equipment, TCP, or any other items to protect workers and enable them to work in a safe environment. You are responsible for safety on your projects and making sure all personal including subcontractors are working within our safety requirements.
- Review project schedules and update with the Project Manager.
- Manager schedules, including preparation of detailing short-term schedules and ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates. Compare schedule to craft schedules to daily activities are in line.
- Ensure Craft Superintendents and Foreman follow work plans that has been established for task and meeting production rates.
- Inform the Project Team and General Superintendent on any changes in schedule, equipment break downs, or any other problems that might affect the budget or production of the project.
- Prepare and submit Superintendent’s Daily Reports.
- Any written communication with inspector must be shared with the Project Team and General Superintendent.
- Attend and participate in project meetings, including subcontractor meetings.
- Mark and communicate areas that utility locates need to be, call all utility entities and 911 to ensure all utilities are marked. This should be done 1 week before work begins. Maintain tickets and refresh weekly in work areas.

The Underground Utilities Foreman is responsible for underground pipe operations (sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water line) for heavy highway, road and street rehab projects.

The Concrete Paving Foreman is responsible for concrete paving operations on project including hand paving, and machine paving for heavy highway, road and street reconstruction projects.
